Speedway is in Hampton, Georgia about 25 miles south of Altanta. The
track was built in 1959 and the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series ran there the
following year. The Atlanta Motor Speedway currently has 2 NASCAR
race weekends - the Golden Corral 500 in March and the Bass Pro Shops MBNA
500 in October.
